Calculator FAQs

What is the calculator tool?

This tool helps you determine how best to set up the projector for the best viewing experience. Based on your living space, you can adjust parameters like the distance between the projector and wall/screen, ambient light brightness, projector setup (front, rear, ceiling) to achieve your desired screen size and screen brightness.

What is a projector's throw distance?

Throw Distance refers to the distance between the projector's lens and the screen. The image size is directly proportional to this distance; the farther the projector lens from the screen, the larger the image. This relationship is determined by the optical design of the lens.

How far should the projector be from the screen?

If your projector has a zoom lens, image size can be adjusted without changing the projector's position.
Given that projector lenses vary, using an online projection calculator is the easiest way to determine how far the projector should be placed based on your desired screen size.

What is a projector's throw ratio?

What is a projector's throw ratio?
The throw ratio represents the relationship between a projector's throw distance (D) and the corresponding image width (W).
This ratio allows you to calculate the throw distance or image width when one variable is known.
Nebula X1 projectors feature Optical Zoom with a variable throw ratio of 0.9:1 to 1.5:1, offering great flexibility for home theater setup.
